How to Buy
Thomas Industries utilizes various auction formats in conducting sales throughout the world. The sale type for each project is identified on the auction calendar and on the auction information page.
ONLINE AUCTIONS
Registration - From the main auction page of the auction you
wish to register, simply click the link for "View Lot Catalog" or
"Register For This Auction". This will bring you into the Lot
Catalog / Online Bidding portion of the website. Returning Users
that already have an account with Thomas Industries/Auctionflex may enter
their User Name and Password to Login. New Users should click the
link "New Bidder" and create an account. Fill out the registration
form and follow the onscreen instructions. Once you have created an
account you can Log In.
Bidder Tools - On the left
side of the screen users will have Bidder Tools. Using these tools
you can find the auction you wish to participate, find the item you
wish to bid on, and submit bids.
Staggered Lot Closing Times -
The lots for each auction are typically scheduled with staggered lot
closing times (either 30 seconds or 60 seconds apart).
Soft
Closing Times / Auto Extend - If a bid is placed on an item with less
than 3 minutes remaining on the count down time, the timer will be
extended by 3 minutes. This enables everyone to get there bids
in and eliminates that last minute bidding frenzy.
Monitor Bids - Users may
quickly monitor all bids they have placed by using the "Current Bids"
link on the tool bar on the left side of the screen.
Invoicing
- Upon completion of the sale invoices processed and submitted to the
buyers with complete payment & removal information.
